Rate-Dependent Mixed Filter Design for Parameter-Dependent State Delayed LPV Systems

چکیده
In this paper, we address the design of parameter-dependent mixed filters for output estimation of linear parameter-varying (LPV) plants that include a time-varying delay. We investigate the conditions to satisfy asymptotic stability, and and performance requirements in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Our synthesis conditions, that provide mixed filters, are dependent linearly on the rate of change of the delay. We take the estimation error into account in the performance index and design the filters to minimize the output energy subject to a bound on the -gain from the noise to the estimation error. The designed filters are shown to have the capability of tracking the desired outputs of the plant in the presence of external disturbances and time varying delays. We examine two classes of filters: one that is rational and another one that has delay in the filter dynamics and, hence, it is nonrational. It is shown that the time-delayed (nonrational) filter results in reduced conservatism and improved performance. Illustrative examples are used to verify the design methodology and to demonstrate the superiority of using the proposed delayed filter configuration compared to the rational one.

In this paper, we examine the problem of designing parameter-dependentH1 filters for output estimation in an LPV plant that includes a constant state delay. The state-space data are assumed to depend on parameters that are measurable in real-time. We develop linear matrix inequality (LMI) based delay-dependent conditions to guarantee both asymptotic stability and L2 gain performance, and we pro...

This paper addresses the design problem of GainScheduled (GS) H2 filters for Linear Parameter-Varying (LPV) systems under the condition that only inexactly measured scheduling parameters are available. The state-space matrices of the LPV systems are supposed to be polynomially parameter dependent and those of filters which are to be designed are supposed to be rationally parameter dependent. Th...

Abstract: This paper presents a convex optimisation method for observer-based control design of LPV neutral systems. Utilising the polynomials parameter-dependent quadratic functions and a suitable change of variables, the required sufficient conditions with high precision for the design of a desired observer-based control are established in terms of delay-dependent parameter-independent linear...
